GTVC Mardan

We Aim to Achieve Excellence in Technical Training

Under the collaboration between KP-TEVTA and Pakistan Air Force (PAF), thirty institutes were outsourced to PAF for upgradation to model institutes. Under this concept, GTVC Mardan was outsourced to PAF in Oct-2015 .The institute has made considerably improvements in all domains, including Administration, Academics, Finance & Procurement, Inventory management Security, Environment, Workshops & Training Equipment and automation etc.

Besides enrollment enhancement from 77 to 1189 , other performance indicators like, discipline, training quality, placement etc have also been improved.

The institute has now attained the level, whereby the accreditation process with national and international accreditation bodies has been started. Presently, the institutes have been accredited with NAVTTC and the process of accreditation with international training providers is also being started.

We are committed to transform the institute to state of the art vocational training center and to provide knowledge based technological services to satisfy needs of local and international market. Moreover, we empower the students to earn their livelihood with honor and respect and to uplift their socio-economic status. Courses are offered to students.

Labs Information

Our Computer Lab is well equipped with latest corei7 desktop computers, Printer, scanner, projector and UPS backup. The Lab is facilitated with comfortable chairs and Air condition.

The training is given by qualified and trained instructors.

This learning opportunity corresponds to the qualification of Computer Operator / IT Office Assistant and Diploma in Information & Technology (DIT) where students learn to Install, configure and operate office software, local area networks, internet and other computer applications, as well as maintenance of computers, peripherals and local networks, taking into account the technical specifications of computer equipment and the appropriate instruments and tools, while complying with all safety, hygiene, health at work, and environmental protection standards.


The Auto Mechanic Lab is well equipped with latest and state of the art cut way models, training aids and equipments keeping in view the needs of local and international market. The objective of Auto Mechanic Lab is to familiarize and train students with the practical work in relation to theory. Students are encouraged to enhance their practical skills and gain more hands on experience. After successful completion of the course qualified trainees will find opportunities in a number of specialised areas to work in Automobile Service Workshop, Assembly Plants, Multinational Companies or Self Employed Business.

The Auto Mechanic Lab has fully developed set of practical training equipment and relevant multi-media teaching examination software, including series automobile engine construction and maintenance, automobile chassis construction and maintenance, automobile electrical construction and maintenance, complete automobile multi-media teaching and examination system, etc these equipment and software can fully meet the needs of the today market.

The newly established Auto Mechanic Lab in this institute is one among 05 such Labs where following latest trainers, equipment and machineries have been installed.

Besides these, equipments necessary for providing practical understanding of the important concepts of wheel balancing and steering alignment of vehicle by Auto Mechanic, in accordance with the Manufacturer Manual are also parts of the newly established Auto Mechanic Lab.


The Electronics Lab of the institute is well equipped and caters the needs of students according to the standard of syllabus. The lab facilitates students with implementation of practical concepts that are taught in theory. Students are encouraged to use their creativity and technical skills to explore and enhance their practical skills and gain more hand on experience by performing practical tasks in Lab. The Lab is equipped with latest tools, equipment and sufficient training material required for performing practical tasks. In the Lab students learns various installation and maintenance techniques for residential and commercial electronic home appliances. Such practical tasks include:

  • Identification and troubleshooting of electronic components
  • Use of Multimeter
  • Measurement of electronic components and electrical quantities.
  • Electronic circuit assembly
  • Spot chasing of electronic circuits
  • Soldering & DE soldering techniques.
  • Installation of Relays (12/24/220 V) for various purposes.
  • Designing of Transformer
  • UPS design, assembling and Installation.
  • Solar inverter design and installation.
  • Trouble shooting and repair of electrical appliances such as Electric Fan, Washing machine, dryer, microwave Owen, electric iron, juicer, toaster, vacuum cleaner, CFL and LED lamps, Emergency lights and etc.


Welding is an essential and important part of every manufacturing and construction industry. The skilled welders are always in demand. Our training covers the main arc welding processes that are used by industry, whether manual or semi-auto, including Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Manual Metal Arc (MMA), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).

Students will be trained in fully equipped workshops, and under the close supervision of fully qualified instructors. The Institute provides technical support for the continuous improvement in the quality of welding education.

The workshop is equipped to train and skill the trainees in Basic Welding Principles, Welding Tools and Equipment, Gas Welding and Gas Cutting, Electricity Arc Welding, Welding Joints, Welding Defects, Welding Tests, Safety Precautions, Tig. Mig. Welding, Spot X-ray Welding.

This course is ideal for people who’ve never welded before and who want to start a career in welding.


HVAC labs have been upgraded to international standard by installing advance HVAC Trainers procured from Lab Tech Indonesia. Internationally trained Instructors impart training through animated digital lesson loaded on trolley with 20 tablets on each trolley inducted in seven different institutes. Students are encouraged to enhance their practical skills and gain more hands on experience in a well equipped lab according to the demand of the local and international market.

Basic information and skills related to servicing, repairing and other maintenance tasks are carried out on latest and modern domestic and commercial HVAC systems. Types of HVAC Systems, Installation, Repairing, Maintenance and Servicing requirements of HVAC systems, Pipe work, Coils and Refrigerants, Gas Charging and Diagnostics, Safe Handling of HVAC Systems are part of the training program.

 

After successful training, the participants will be capable of carrying out HVAC installations, troubleshoot and maintain the HAVC systems including motors, fuel lines, air vents, fans and pumps in commercial and residential buildings.

 

Health and Safety is KP-STVET management top priority. Management, staff and trainees are equally responsible and accountable for overall safety initiatives. All the tasks are performed in safe environment according to industry standards and international safety laws.


Plumbers play a vital role in installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The increased use of solar energy has further added to the demand of Plumbers having the skills to install and maintain solar-thermal water heating systems.

Our labs are equipped with all the necessary tools and machinery to skill the trainees in works like  GI (Galvanized Iron) Pipe fitting, PPRC (Polypropylene random copolymer) pipe fitting, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) & UPVC (un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride) pipe fitting, CP fitting (Chrome Plated fittings), all types of valves fitting, excavation, installation, maintenance of solar water heating system and allied piping system.

By completing this training the trainees shall be competent to install, remove, check, repair, replace or service different types of bathrooms and kitchen fixtures, including solar water heating installations.


The purpose of this training is to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in a Machinist in accordance with industry standard and safe work practices.

Machinist Labs are available for trainees to pursue a Machinist career path with greater employment skills or to become entrepreneur in machinist field.  Techniques like bench work, drilling, lathe work, milling work, grinding work and CNC milling /lathe work is taught to produce a capable & skillful workforce as required by the prevailing market demands.

Tools, Machines and piece of equipment in the workplace/lab are capable of safely performing the functions for which it is to be used, and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions (if applicable), accepted industry standards, and safe work practices (where established).

During training course the trainees learn to Perform Basic Bench work, Drilling Machine Operations, Apply Occupational Health & Safety Procedures at workplace, Carry out Maintenance of Tools and Machines, Perform Lathe Machine Operations, Perform Milling Machine Operations, Carry out Basic CNC Machine Operations, Perform Grinding Machine Operations, Perform Shaper Machine operations etc.

Health and Safety is KP-STVET management top priority. Management, staff and trainees are equally responsible and accountable for overall safety initiatives. Workplace/Labs are ensured to work safely, effectively and hygienically which develop characteristics among the trainees such as self-reliance, reliability, responsibility and ability to lead the program in the field.
