GTVC Mirza Dhair

We Aim to Achieve Excellence in Technical Training

Under the collaboration between KP-TEVTA and Pakistan Air Force (PAF), thirty institutes were outsourced to PAF for upgradation to model institutes. Under this concept, GTVC Mirza Dhair was outsourced to PAF in Nov-2017 .The institute has made considerably improvements in all domains, including Administration, Academics, Finance & Procurement, Inventory management Security, Environment, Workshops & Training Equipment and automation etc.

Besides enrollment enhancement from 79 to 2735 , other performance indicators like, discipline, training quality, placement etc have also been improved.

The institute has now attained the level, whereby the accreditation process with national and international accreditation bodies has been started. Presently, the institutes have been accredited with NAVTTC and the process of accreditation with international training providers is also being started.

We are committed to transform the institute to state of the art vocational training center and to provide knowledge based technological services to satisfy needs of local and international market. Moreover, we empower the students to earn their livelihood with honor and respect and to uplift their socio-economic status. Courses are offered to students.

Plumbing Lab

Plumbing Lab

Plumbers play a vital role in installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The increased use of solar energy has further added to the demand of Plumbers having the skills to install and maintain solar-thermal water heating systems.

Our labs are equipped with all the necessary tools and machinery to skill the trainees in works like  GI (Galvanized Iron) Pipe fitting, PPRC (Polypropylene random copolymer) pipe fitting, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) & UPVC (un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride) pipe fitting, CP fitting (Chrome Plated fittings), all types of valves fitting, excavation, installation, maintenance of solar water heating system and allied piping system.

By completing this training the trainees shall be competent to install, remove, check, repair, replace or service different types of bathrooms and kitchen fixtures, including solar water heating installations.

Our Computer Lab is well equipped with latest corei7 desktop computers, Printer, scanner, projector and UPS backup. The Lab is facilitated with comfortable chairs and Air condition.

The training is given by qualified and trained instructors.

This learning opportunity corresponds to the qualification of Computer Operator / IT Office Assistant and Diploma in Information & Technology (DIT) where students learn to Install, configure and operate office software, local area networks, internet and other computer applications, as well as maintenance of computers, peripherals and local networks, taking into account the technical specifications of computer equipment and the appropriate instruments and tools, while complying with all safety, hygiene, health at work, and environmental protection standards.


Dress Making Female Lab

Dress Making Female Lab

The Dress Design Making lab of the institute is installed with Stitch machine, Industrial lock machine, buttonhole machine and accessories used in dress designing. Training material to all students is provided in abundant quantity for practicing and developing projects. The lab is dedicated for dress making students to develop the diverse scheme of dresses. Students learn about pattern making, fabric cutting, stitching of fabric, over-lock, making of buttonhole and pressing etc.


General Electrician Lab

The Lab is well-equipped and caters for the needs of students according to the National Qualification Frame Work (NQF) and standard NAVTTC curricula. Students are encouraged to use their creativity and technical aptitude to explore and enhance their practical skills and gain more hands on experience to fulfill the market needs. The Lab is equipped with latest tools, testers and training equipment. Training materials of required quality and quantity are provided to the students for Hands on Practice. Following areas are of major focus:-

  • Single and three phase electrical wiring methods for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Wiring of switches, light fixtures and other electrical appliances
  • Repair and winding of Electrical Motors and Generators.
  • Installation of single and three-phase Energy meter, distribution boxes, Change-Over switches, single and three-phase motors and installation of Relays, contactors solar inverters and UPS etc.
  • Repair and maintenance of Electrical appliances such as electric iron, washing machine, dryer, electric fan etc.
  • Renewable energy, including installation and repair of Solar Panels and UPSs etc.
  • Students are also introduced to specialized topics selected by the electrical faculty.
